Activities
Modern enterprise automation extends beyond isolated task execution. Real business outcomes are achieved through intelligent agents that can automate actions, orchestrate workflows, interact with systems, process information, and collaborate across multiple stages of execution.
At IB-X, we have designed our Agent Automation framework around this unified agent-centric approach. Agents are built using workflows, and workflows are constructed using Activities — the fundamental building blocks of automation.
Activities enable you to rapidly design intelligent automation solutions by visually composing workflows through drag-and-drop orchestration. These workflows can then operate independently or collaborate with other workflows and agents to deliver complete end-to-end business automation scenarios.
IB-X supports multiple categories of agents, including:
- Agent Activities — Activities used for server-side process orchestration, integrations, business workflows, AI interactions, and enterprise automation scenarios.
- Local Agent Activities — Activities designed for desktop, browser, and user-interactive automation scenarios that execute within local user environments.
To simplify development and improve discoverability, Activities are organized into functional categories based on their capabilities and usage scenarios. This allows you to quickly identify and use the appropriate Activities required to build your intelligent automation and agent orchestration solutions.
