Move Folder

Description

Moves a folder and its contents to another location on the same remote server.

Prerequisites

Create and test a FTP connection with access to the remote paths used by the activity. Paths identify locations on that server, not on the workflow host.

Shared settings

Select Connection Name. Use Process Data for dynamic path values. Configure execution control and On Error as required.

Inputs

Property	Description
Source Path	Required source folder path.
Destination Path	Destination parent or full path ending with the source folder name.
Overwrite	Allow replacement of an existing destination folder. Default: False.
Create Missing Directories	Create missing destination parents. Default: True.

Outputs

Folder: reference to the moved folder.

Behavior

When Overwrite is disabled, an existing destination causes an error. Overwrite allows the FTP provider to replace the destination; use a new destination when existing contents must be preserved.

Example

Moving /data/reports to /archive produces /archive/reports. Supplying /archive/reports uses that path directly. The source folder name is appended unless it is already the destination's last path segment.
