Move File
Description
Moves a file to a different folder in Google Drive.
Unlike Copy File, this activity relocates the existing file rather than creating a duplicate.

Display Text

Connection Name
The configured Google Drive connection used to access Google Drive resources.
Source File
The file to move.
You can:
- Select a file using the Google Drive Picker.
- Provide a File Reference returned by a previous activity.
- Provide a file identifier dynamically through Process Data.
Target Folder
The destination folder where the file will be moved.
You can:
- Select a folder using the Google Drive Picker.
- Provide a Folder Reference returned by a previous activity.
- Provide a folder identifier dynamically through Process Data.
The destination folder must be accessible to the authenticated Google account.
Wait All Incoming
Controls how this activity behaves when multiple incoming execution paths converge.
Determines whether the activity executes when:
- Any incoming path completes, or
- All relevant incoming paths complete before execution

On Error

Output
File
A File Reference representing the moved file.
The returned File Reference can be passed directly to other IB-X activities that accept file inputs.
Metadata
Metadata describing the file after the move operation.
Common metadata includes:
- File ID
- File Name
- MIME Type
- Parent Folder
- Created Time
- Modified Time
- Web View Link

Remarks
- The authenticated Google account must have access to both the source file and destination folder.
- Moving a file changes its parent folder location in Google Drive.
- The file is not duplicated during the move operation.
- The returned File Reference represents the file in its new location.
