Recycle Bin

The Recycle Bin provides administrators with centralized control over deleted items within the AI Command Center. When an item is deleted, it is immediately removed from its original location and moved to the Recycle Bin, where it is retained for a configurable period. During this retention window, items can be restored or permanently removed.

By default, deleted items are retained for 30 days.

The Recycle Bin is available only to users with the Administrator role.

How to access:​

From the AI Command Center, open Settings (⚙️) and navigate to Additional → Recycle Bin.

Deleted Item Lifecycle​

The lifecycle of a deleted item follows this process:

  1. The item is deleted from its original location.
  2. The item is moved to the Recycle Bin.
  3. The item remains in the Recycle Bin for the configured retention period.
  4. After the retention period expires, the item is automatically and permanently deleted.

Items can also be manually restored or permanently deleted before the retention period expires.

Deleted items are categorized by entity type to simplify identification and management.

Managing Deleted Items​

From the Recycle Bin page, administrators can:

  • View all deleted items within the active retention period
  • Identify items by entity type
  • Restore items to their original location
  • Permanently delete individual items
  • Empty the entire Recycle Bin

All actions performed in the Recycle Bin are applied immediately.

Restoring Items​

Items can be restored during the retention period.

To restore an item:

  • Open the Recycle Bin
  • Select the desired item
  • Use the Restore action

The item is returned to its original location with its previous configuration intact.

Permanently Deleting Items​

Items can be permanently deleted before the retention period expires.

To permanently delete a specific item:

  • Open the Recycle Bin
  • Select the item
  • Use the Delete action

To permanently delete all items:

  • Select EMPTY RECYCLE BIN from the top banner

Permanently deleted items cannot be recovered.

Configuring Retention Period​

Administrators can configure how long deleted items remain in the Recycle Bin.

To update the retention setting:

  1. Open Settings (⚙️) in the top-right corner and navigate to Additional → Settings
  2. Navigate to Misc
  3. Modify Delete items in Recycle Bin After (Days)
  4. Click Save

The default retention period is 30 days.
